What makes your Tinctures different?
Our tinctures begin where true herbalism always should — with the living plant.
Every herb we use is wildcrafted in the pristine Blue Mountain range of Northeastern Oregon by cultural herbalist April Graham, gathered at the perfect stage of growth when its natural compounds are at their peak. Most tinctures on the market are made from dried or powdered material that’s lost much of its balance and subtlety. We only use fresh plant matter, because that’s where the full spectrum of the herb’s properties truly lives.
By extracting from fresh plants using 100-proof alcohol and pure water, we’re able to preserve both the alcohol- and water-soluble compounds that make each herb whole. This creates a more balanced tincture—one that works in harmony with the body rather than overwhelming it.
The result is a tincture that feels gentle yet effective, rich in vitality and less likely to cause the sharp, reactive sensations that can come from over-concentrated or overly processed formulas.
Our tinctures reflect the plant as it exists in nature: balanced, grounded, and alive.
Who shouldn't use this?
Not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding without medical guidance | Not advised for individuals with known sensitivity to plants in the mint family (Lamiaceae) | May cause drowsiness in some individuals—avoid combining with sedatives or alcohol | Not recommended for those with low blood pressure | Always start low and slow—some may experience subtle shifts as the body adjusts.
Why You'll Feel The Difference
Catnip offers gentle, whole-body ease—helping the nervous system settle while supporting healthy digestion and relaxation. Because we use fresh aerial parts, the tincture captures the plant’s natural calm and lightness in full balance. It’s a simple, soothing ally for those seeking rest, relief from tension, or a sense of ease at the end of the day.

Common Questions, Honest Answers.
CAN I TAKE MULTIPLE TINCTURES AT ONCE?
Yes, many people choose to take more than one tincture—especially when supporting different areas of wellness. We recommend starting with a single tincture for 3–5 days to let your body adjust and notice how it feels.
From there, you can combine them in the way that feels best for you—some take them together in one glass of water, others space them out throughout the day, or rotate based on what they need most.
Take it slow, stay consistent, and trust your body to guide the way.
Where are your tinctures made?
Every tincture is made by hand in our small apothecary in Northeastern Oregon—a space we built ourselves, surrounded by the very mountains where many of our herbs grow. It’s where the process stays personal and intentional, never rushed or mass-produced. Each batch is carefully prepared in a clean, dedicated workspace using time-honored methods that keep the herbs’ integrity intact from start to finish.
We take care with every step—measuring, mixing, labeling—to make sure what you receive is something we’d be proud to use ourselves.
From there, each bottle is sent to our FDA-registered fulfillment facility in Idaho, where it’s stored in a temperature-controlled environment until it reaches your door. Your tincture never sits in bulk storage or overheated warehouses—just a clean, cared-for space that reflects the same values we hold in our apothecary.
This way, you know exactly where your tincture comes from—and that it was made by real hands that care deeply about the craft.
Where are your herbs sourced from?
Many of the herbs used in our tinctures are wildcrafted right here in Northeastern Oregon, gathered by cultural herbalist April Graham in the pristine Blue Mountain range where the plants grow naturally and abundantly. These are places untouched by commercial farming—clean soil, clean water, and thriving ecosystems that allow the herbs to develop their full character and strength.
For plants that don’t grow in our region, we source directly from small, trusted farms across the U.S. and Western Europe—places where the herbs are grown slowly, harvested by hand, and treated with the respect they deserve.
We never source based on price or convenience. Every plant is chosen based on where it grows best and how it’s traditionally been used, ensuring that what goes into your tincture reflects the truest version of the herb.
It’s about more than ingredients—it’s about honoring the plant’s origin, integrity, and the people who tend it.
Are your herbs organic?
We use organic or ecologically harvested herbs whenever and wherever possible. Ecologically harvested means herbs are grown or gathered with care for the environment, often in ways that go beyond standard organic practices—focusing on sustainability, land health, and traditional harvesting methods. That said, we’re not currently USDA certified organic—not because we don’t value certification, but because we’d rather keep our products accessible than raise prices just to pay for a logo. As we grow, we’re hopeful we’ll be able to absorb the cost of certification ourselves—without passing it onto our community. In the meantime, we put our resources into what truly matters: the herbs, the testing, and the quality in every capsule.
Who is formulating your creations?
Every formula is created by April Graham, a cultural herbalist with a lifelong connection to plant medicine and a worldwide community of learners. She founded Wild Wood Apothecary in 2014 as a way to support her mission of teaching herbalism freely—without hiding knowledge behind paywalls or selling generic white-label products.
April’s formulas are rooted in lived experience and built on years of deep herbal practice. They’re not trendy, outsourced blends—they’re thoughtfully crafted, experience-heavy creations made to support real people with real herbs, just as they’ve been used for generations.
