Description
At A Glance:
How do I use it?
Apply to clean, dry underarms after showering. Pit Goop can also be used on already stinky pits—just roll it on and let it work its odor-trapping magic.
Each bottle lasts between 2–4 months, depending on how often you use it.
What are the ingredients?
Distilled water, vegetable glycerine, plant cellulose (natural thickener), castor bean extract (odor absorber), volcanic sulfur (natural bacteria-fighter), and Liquid Germall Plus (preservative).
What does it smell like?
Honestly? Not much at all. Maybe a faint whiff of sulfur if you really go nose-first into your armpit—but otherwise, it’s basically scentless. We don’t add fragrance because… well, it would just get absorbed. Pit Goop is that good at trapping odor. No need to cover anything up when it’s already handled.
What Makes Your Goop Different?
Most natural deodorants? They expect you to be clean first. As in—freshly showered, never-sweat-a-day-in-your-life clean. If you're already a little stinky, forget it. They just try to cover it up with strong scents or give up completely.
We made Pit Goop for real people.
The kind who forget to reapply. The kind who get sweaty before coffee. The kind who sometimes need a deodorant that actually works when you’re already halfway to smelly.
Here’s what makes it different:
We didn’t just make a deodorant—we made an odor trap.
Pit Goop uses a castor-based extract that grabs onto stink and holds it there so it doesn’t keep floating around. Not mask it. Not cover it. Trap it. Even after it starts. (Yes, really.)
We test every batch for freshness and stability.
Because it’s not just about working once. It needs to keep working—week after week—without separating or spoiling on your shelf.
What’s never in the bottle:
• No aluminum, baking soda, or essential oils
• No added fragrance (it would just get absorbed anyway)
• No gritty clays or weird film on your clothes
• No mystery ingredients you can’t pronounce
Why that matters:
This is something you roll onto your pits every day. It should be safe. It should be simple. And it should actually work—even if you already smell a little funky.
Who shouldn't use this?
If you're looking for something that stops sweat completely, Pit Goop isn’t it. It's not an antiperspirant—and we don’t use aluminum or other pore-blocking ingredients that shut down your body's natural detox process.
We also don’t use synthetic skin-binding agents (like silicones or PEGs) to force the product to cling for 24 hours straight. That means some folks may need to reapply, especially on extra hot or high-sweat days—and we’re totally okay with that.
Pit Goop is also not for you if you have a known allergy to sulfur or castor bean derivatives—both are part of what make this formula so effective.
Why You'll Feel The Difference
Most deodorants only work if you’re already clean. Pit Goop doesn’t need a fresh shower to do its job—it works even on already stinky pits. That’s because it doesn’t just try to mask odor—it traps it. No baking soda, no aluminum, no essential oils—just clean, effective ingredients that actually do something. You’ll feel (and smell) the difference from the very first use.
VOLCANIC SULFUR | NATURALLY TARGETS ODOR-CAUSING BUILDUP — SEE WHY:
Volcanic sulfur has long been valued in topical care for its ability to support a balanced skin environment—especially in high-sweat areas. In Pit Goop, it helps reduce the buildup of compounds that contribute to body odor, working with your skin instead of against it. It’s gentle, effective, and offers natural support without the harsh ingredients most deodorants rely on.
CASTOR BEAN EXTRACT | TRAPS ODOR INSTEAD OF MASKING IT — SEE WHY:
This unique extract is what makes Pit Goop different. Rather than covering odor with scent, the castor bean-based compound binds to odor molecules and holds them in place—effectively trapping them before they linger in the air. That’s why Pit Goop works even if you apply it after odor has already started. It’s a smarter way to stay fresh, without relying on aluminum, baking soda, or added fragrance.
WHEN COMBINED | A FORMULA YOU WON’T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE — SEE WHY:
This isn’t your average natural deodorant. By combining volcanic sulfur with a castor-based odor absorber, Pit Goop takes a completely different approach to freshness. It doesn’t mask odor or block sweat—instead, it works with your skin to keep odor in check from the moment it starts. The result is a smooth, scent-free formula that’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and effective enough to use anytime—even after odor has already shown up.

Common Questions, Honest Answers.
Where is Pit Goop made?
We’re proud to partner with MedPack Solutions, a reputable, FDA-registered facility in Florida known for its consistency and care. They specialize in small-batch cosmetic production and follow strict quality protocols to ensure every bottle of Pit Goop meets the highest standards—without relying on shortcuts or questionable ingredients.
From there, our bottles are shipped to our fulfillment team in Idaho—one of the few FDA-registered shipping facilities in the country. This means your it Goop is stored in a clean, temperature-controlled environment until it reaches your door—not in overheated warehouses or bulk storage units.
We’ve chosen every partner with care so you can feel confident about what you’re putting on your skin—because it matters. A lot.
Will this stain my clothes?
Nope. Pit Goop goes on virtually clear and won’t leave stains or greasy residue behind. It contains zero oil-based ingredients—so there’s nothing to soak into your fabric or feed odor-causing bacteria over time. Just a smooth, clean formula that does its job and keeps your clothes looking (and smelling) fresh.
Are The ingredients organic?
Pit Goop doesn’t contain herbs, but we still hold every ingredient to a high standard. Some ingredients—like volcanic sulfur—are naturally occurring minerals, meaning they’re considered organic by their very nature. Others, like distilled water, are about as pure and clean as it gets.
While organic certification doesn’t always apply to non-agricultural ingredients, we still choose trusted, transparent suppliers who provide full documentation and verification of safety, stability, and cosmetic quality. Every component is selected with care—not just for how it performs, but for how it supports skin without relying on fillers, oils, or questionable additives.
We’re not currently USDA Certified Organic—not because we don’t believe in it, but because we’d rather keep Pit Goop accessible than raise prices just to pay for a logo. When the time comes that we can absorb that cost ourselves, we’re all in.
Until then, we put our resources where they matter most: into thoughtful sourcing, real testing, and the trust you place in what goes on your skin.
Who is formulating your creations?
Every formula is created by April Graham, a cultural herbalist with a lifelong connection to plant medicine and a worldwide community of learners. She founded Wild Wood Apothecary in 2014 as a way to support her mission of teaching herbalism freely—without hiding knowledge behind paywalls or selling generic white-label products.
April’s formulas are rooted in lived experience and built on years of deep herbal practice. They’re not trendy, outsourced blends—they’re thoughtfully crafted, experience-heavy creations made to support real people with real herbs, just as they’ve been used for generations.
What if it doesn’t work for me?
We know not every deodorant is the perfect fit for every body. That’s why we offer store credit if you’d like to try something else from the apothecary. We do ask that you use your bottle consistently for at least 30 days before deciding, as it can take time for your body to adjust—especially if you’re switching from conventional deodorant. We also recommend trying it on existing odor at least once, since that’s where Pit Goop really shines.
If after 30 days it still isn’t working for you, just reach out—we’re happy to issue store credit toward a different product. While we aren’t able to offer refunds as a small business, we’re committed to helping you find something that feels like a better fit for your wellbeing.
