Folklore and History:
You've probably seen this flower before in real life even though she is rather unique to sub-alpine meadows, not that she can't grow in other environments but naturally she prefers the mountains! So how have you seen her then if you don't live in her environment?! She is extremely popular in flower arrangements! Yep you see her flowers are very "dry" naturally, almost paper like! So once dried she looks the same as fresh, because of this florists adore her!
Growth and Habitat:
Anaphalis, whose common name is pearly everlasting, is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants that are mostly native to southern and central Asia. Along with the 110 species that come from Asia, there is also a single species native to North America. Growing mostly in the mountainous regions of the west, it's easy to find pearly everlasting near roadsides and field edges.
