Take me to those wild places that fire once blessed with a gentle hand, to the places where your blooms count down the summer days with sweet nectar offered for those aware enough to taste. Watching Bees dance within you I listen to the secrets you whisper, your blooms racing to the top that mark the change that is now swiftly setting in here on the mountain. You swayed in those warm summer breezes but you sang of the days we exist in now. Long gone to sleep after your last show that called in fall to replace the summer.
My dear Fireweed you grow in the wild places , my favorite places & I am so grateful to have your sweet nectar with me now during these growing colder & swiftly darker days.
The moment this ally unfurls her first petals she begins counting down the days to winter, when her blooms reach the top we know our time is up. As her countdown ticks she offers her deep giving nature for those who care to remember her ways. I do, I remember her keenly. I know her as ancestor. I know her as food. I know her as healer. Now I would like you too as well!
*Her deep antioxidant ways would like to melt away the worlds worries from your tired face, giving way to an appearance of an easier time, a youthful time.
*Her sincere anti-inflammatory nature would like to soothe the heat of sore winter joints, & pull down those hot and angry conditions.
*Her tart astringent ways would like to gently tighten & tone our soon to be winter worn skin, in doing so she erases the appearance of fine lines that often set in as we wrinkle our face in defense of the cold wind blowing.
*Her mucilaginous properties would like to deeply hydrate & help retain moisture on dry winter skin while encouraging our naturally occurring oils to balance out rather they be to plentiful or sparse.
All infused into pure organic avocado oil and held in a 30ml/1 oz glass spray top bottle.
All of my salves/balms/butters/creams/teas etc are made with ethically wildcrafted whole herbs from contaminant free areas, organically grown in my personal garden or sourced from an organic producer within the united states. I only use organic oils, beeswax, and tallows.
My oils of choice are Avocado, Safflower, Coconut oil.
My honey is raw and local.
All salves, balms and most body butters contain beeswax.
I use absolutely no essential oils.
All of my oils are infused with herbals for 4-6+ weeks at a time away from the sun for deep slow and patient infusion of each plants herbal properties.
For creams/butters that contain water content, I use a proper FDA approved paraben free preservative at a minuscule but effective 0.2% level to prevent very dangerous contaminants such as molds/bacteria/yeast.
